Uninteresting story:

Was at a friend's BBQ house party over the weekend and met a fellow watch nerd who complimented me, of all pieces my Seiko SCC-909 Speedtimer on the wrist. From his compliment, I could tell he was a fellow man of culture.

On his wrist he was wearing a Lange Saxonia Thin 39mm. He was cool and let me try it on for a couple wrist shots. What a lovely piece. Further reinforcing my desire to obtain an ALS as my first high horology piece

SPX DeLorean. Case made from JZD's personal car T-panel which was made the same month/year as my DeLorean. His VIN is on the back which happens to be 532 units from mine. Ordered the week of release and received in May this year. I was able to request the serial # I wanted. Pictured next to my "daily" DMC Alpha watch.

And that Lange Saxonia Thin on his wrist sounds like a dream! Trying it on must have been a moment to remember. I totally get that feeling of wanting to level up in the horology game. Even though I'm a big Rolex fan, that Omega Terra Aqua's sleek design has caught my eye lately. I had the black face stainless steel on bracelet when they were very first released.
Loved the watch, but it was just a bit too big and top heavy for me, so I let it go.

Honestly, I'm not a huge Rolex fan overall, but I definitely like that watch. from me especially if you have a large wrist.

Its an amazing watch.

Although the 24 hour / GMT dial is obvious, whats less obvious is the annual calendar indicated by the red dot on the hour marker (4th marker on pic above = April).
So you also only ever have to adjust the date in Feb.

Various adjustments are made by clicking the bezel for the different settings.

Complicated watch which looks very simple.

Although the 24 hour / GMT dial is obvious, whats less obvious is the annual calendar indicated by the red dot on the hour marker (4th marker on pic above = April).
So you also only ever have to adjust the date in Feb.

Various adjustments are made by clicking the bezel for the different settings.

So if I’m understanding correctly, I might need to fly back to Düsseldorf again and pick it up if it’s still there

Went to a local watch owners meet last night and among the coolest pieces I saw among various collections was this Credor Eichii II (variant with Roman numerals on the dial) and the new Ming 37.04 monopusher chrono.

Good lord, while I think Ming is a cool brand I never really wanted any of their pieces, except for this one... Of course I have to desire one of their more unattainable models (both in quantity and price)
