Has anyone heard a sound coming from somewhere inside the car that sort of sounds like an engine revving? It comes and goes for me, in that I can do several drives without hearing it, and then mysteriously it will pop up again. When it does pop up again, it will repeat itself every few seconds during my drive.

Today I managed to hear it happen a few times after parking the car, so I captured a quick video. You can hear the first one very obviously around :03 seconds in. The second instance happens around :07, as I was shifting my body to try and film the wheel well (since I don't know exactly where the sound is coming from). Please excuse the other noises like the passenger door slamming, my partner was getting out of the car at the time and didn't realize I was filming.

If true, if I turn off climate control the next time this happens, should the sound immediately stop?
Worth a shot - sounds like fans running - how warm was it?

If fans, then they may not switch-off automatically - battery cooling / heating or other component.

Do you have preheat / cool enabled on door unlock - this will trigger mechanical sounds almost immediately and run for 5 mins min?

It's pretty moderate temperatures here, between 50-75 degrees Fahrenheit (southern california).

I do not have that preheat/cool option enabled. In any case, I always hear this issue during my drive, and when I took this video was the first time I actually heard it continue outside of the car after parking.

Sounds like fans. Consult your dealer for advice in case there's a pending issue.
