Which tyres?

Hi all
I've had my taycan almost one year now and it looks like I'll need to replace the tyres soon. I currently have 21 inch Pirelli P Zero's, though my local garage advise they could fit Bridgestone Potenza or Goodyear Eagles. I realise P Zero's are likely the best but are either of the Bridgestone or Goodyear a good choice?

Unfortunately Bridgestone doesn't make 305/30 R21 tyres so I'm not sure where your local garage is going to find those.

I have Goodyear Assymetric 5 on order just because they're nf0

Once out of warranty, I'm very interested in the Hankook ION.

Mine was fitted with the Goodyears as standard and they are good grip and have a good noise rating. No idea on wear yet.

I am just in the process of replacing my tyres. I have 21 inch Mission E with Eagle F1 from 2020. Now done about 39k km’s on them. Wear was quite even and about 3 mm left but one tyre got damaged in a pothole and needed replacing.

The GoodYear OEM tyres have surprised me how good they are. Been very pleased with them and believe the new Asymmetric 5 are a step up from 3. All NF0!

Noise levels good be influenced by having 21 inch tyres

My service advisor ( who tracks his cars a lot) advised that the Pirelli are quite “sticky” but a good thre. However since they are sticky they wear quickly

So the choice is a balance on what you value most. Very grippy but faster wearing or good grip with long life.

No, I would love to try them, but so far they are not NF0 approved.

Yeah the sad part is that I spoke with hankook and they made the iON specifically for the Taycan and Audi e-tron GT. The introductory ad even was showcasing the audi ?

We want NF0!

Yes That is correct. The car has just had it second service and all tyres were measured. Even wear across all tyres, so no alignment issues either.

I am not engaged in red light drag races but use the car for long trips mainly. In France the road surface is also very smooth. Plus a lot of driving around the mountains in the south of France. Fast acceleration when overtaking, but few launches.

I was also surprised how well they have lasted.

Still hope to try the Hancock’s though or if Michelin ever will do a Pilot Sport 4S or 5s, NF0?

That's great, I'm thinking of changing to the Eagle F1 asymmetric 5.

In the meanwhile have to spend €1428.00 on the Goodyear Asy 5... Oh well... Hope they last enough until one of the above becomes NF0 or the warranty runs out.

Found out there is a shortage (?) of these tires in the US and I can’t get a new one for approx 2 weeks?? I asked about the asymmetric 5s, and those are about 30 days out. That seems insane. I could of course opt for a full new set of different tires, but these were just installed in January.

Very frustrating.

Took me 6 days to get the asymmetric 5 here in Portugal and I thought that was insane. I actually snarked at the Tyre shop with "So if I had a flat, I would be stranded for 6 days?" but after what you just reported, it's worse than I expected.

Seems long are the days with tyres in stock or overnight shipping.
