Redshift Performance - Taycan 4 CT Acceleration Measurements Before & After Upgrade

Hi Taycan Forum

One of our customers took the time to measure and compare the acceleration of his Taycan 4 Cross Turismo before and after the Redshift Performance Stage 1 upgrade. The results are very impressive and the customer has told me that his car feels "totally transformed" post the upgrade!

Summary:
Stock 0-60mph --> 5.30 seconds (with launch control 4.8 seconds)
Upgrade 0-60mph --> 3.70 seconds (overboost always available, no launch control needed)

Stock 0-100mph --> 12.04 seconds (with launch control 10. 1 seconds)
Upgrade 0-100mph --> 7.34 seconds (overboost always available, no launch control needed)

Here are the measurement graphs taken with Harry's lap timer app w/ external GPS receiver (Same accuracy as dragy).
All measurements taken with high SOC and similar environmental conditions.

Say you overdo it repeatedly accelerating on a track, does the car start to pull back on power?

That’s a huge jump for a ct 4. Could a 4S expect more of an improvement? I thought the ct 4 and ct 4S were mechanically the same. Motors/inverters. 3.7 wouldn’t be much of an improvement at all for a CT 4S.

my car is a 4S and I’ve been mulling this mod.

I've had my car full throttle at 160mph and the power meter started to pull back. Pre upgrade, it never did this. It went into protection mode
I gather it would be the same on the track, but I assume sooner if you're pushing the power past its stock limits

The powertrain subsystems (motor, inverter, battery) have their own protection mechanisms, if any of them are getting close to their maximum operating ranges (e.g. too hot) they will go into derating mode and provide a decreased power output. This has nothing to do with our tune but how the electrical architecture has been designed.
The owner that took these measurement did 4 to 5 separate 0-100mph runs in short succession and acceleration times actually went down and the last try was the best attempt. I think he is also going to the track at some point and will provide more feedback.

The 4S will also see an improvement in peak power and acceleration. Keep in mind that we provide overboost availability at all times and not just during launch control so the car will feel al lot more alive post the upgrade. Launch control in stock mode is not really something that most users will use on a regular basis.

This is actually Taycan Turbo levels acceleration, actually faster than Taycan Turbo 0-100 mph...

At 5:21 Taycan Turbo 0-100 mph 7.89...
