Cleaned the car before our trip tomorrow to the Texas Hill Country - can't help myself and had to add some more pics (too much ?) - early morning here and sun not up on car but the grey looking awesome!

Note: These shots taken with an old Canon PowerShot SX60 and the very flat light does nothing to highlight the deep flake you see in the Volcano grey - would need another set of pics to highlight - there is almost a 3D depth effect when you shoot to capture that.

Ah - good to know - unfortunately we're going via the EA station on the north side of San Antonio on the way out but was indeed considering returning via 290 (using the EA station on north side of Austin) for the return - I can ping you before we land on a return route.

Got our CT4 yesterday. We ordered in early September and got it yesterday as we had a few thing done to it prior to picking it up.

Before I mention what we had done I would really like to thank all of you for sharing your experiences and knowledge which helped us shape the car we have today. Our SA at Silverstone porsche was also excellent and we couldn’t ask more from him.

So what did we get done?

We had all the CT wheel cladding painted body colour, rear diffuser painted gloss black. The Matt plastic at the front and black has been changed to body coloured so we only have two colours rather than three. All of that was sanded down to remove any texture before it was sprayed. Car then had it paint correction and ppf and finally entire car inside and out had the ceramic treatment.

My pictures of the day aren’t brilliant (too excited to take good pictures - just wanted to go drive it!)

But to help I will add some pre pdi pictures once it came off the transportation for comparison. I will of course post better ones when the weather improves and I get round to it and also attach some pre ppf and ceramic treatment

Great stuff, big congrats and a beautiful pro job by your shop.

I’ve being humming and hawing on what color to do on that rear bumper and surround area and your pics are a massive help. That said now I’m wondering if making certain areas back there gloss black might suit me better but may have to try to render to see how each looks! Did you consider painting the plastic around the lights - was thinking of making that gloss black too but of course yet more dissembling work and cost!

But again, you car looks amazing and congrats indeed to job well done ?

pS: could I ask at some pt if you could add a pic from a lower down perspective of the rear (square to) of your car to see the overall effect of the paint back there - much appreciated, thx!

Shouldn't post this type of quick and dirty art work but what the heck - trying to get a sense of what a black finned area with body color surround might look like on my car - need to move this to my mods thread which I will do!

Thought I'd add a couple of pictures of a GTS ST. Not mine unfortunately but the same colour and wheel combo as what I have on order.

This was waiting to be prepped so it's a bit dirty.

Thank you and happy to do that especially as some of your design helped cement what I wanted to do. Car is already a little dirty thanks to great British weather (but at least I can watch the water bead off the car!), but I will take the pictures you want as soon as I get that area cleaned up

The fins you mention I have as body coloured. Only the diffuser is gloss black. SA said front and back has more gloss black than factory gloss black.

Thx - perfect.

Not sure I understand your comment though re "SA said front and back has more gloss black than factory gloss black" - from your pics you seem to have the identical amount of gloss black as I have in my OEM gloss black lip insert and rear diffuser or am I missing something?
