Hi,

I did an update for the Apple Magsafe.

Since there's no opening or gap in the Apple Magsafe you'll have to use double sided tape or superglue to glue it to the mount.

Thanks for doing this! I've made a few of these now with the magsafe top trying to get it perfect. I've actully found that by increasing the scale of it by just ~15%, I could put felt lining on the back so it doesn't mark the leather.

Ok so it worked great while it lasted. The car was parked outside the last few days while I was at a conference and there’s an excessive heat warning here so 110+. Got back in today to head home and the holder had completely changed size and won’t work no more. Will need to reprint with a better material knowing I live in an area that will continue to be hot in the summers!

For anyone who wants a ballmount solution, I posted a while back about using a Proclip + ESR Halolock. It's very secure, no motion while driving/braking.

I know it's not for everyone, just offering it up to give ideas.

can you share more about how you ran the wiring to the glovebox? Is there a suggested magnetic mount that I can use if I want to hold the phone in place but don’t need charging? Looking for the cleanest look and willing to forego charging if need be

Nicely done. I am not an Apple guy, so I'd be far more interested in mounting a standard spring-clip style phone holder to this so it allowed for different phone sizes/brands/cases. I don't care at all about it supporting wireless charging.

Would you be open to me doing a remix of this that supports a more generic mount solution?

I printed it in ABS, hopefully it has better heat resistant.
It fits perfectly good on the console; not too tight, I can even slide it up and down to adjust the position. I don't think it will leave marks on the leather overtime.

My location 3D printing store quoted me over $200 for one. Also told me they can't do the logo (which is whatever since it won't be seen in the car anyway).
However, I ordered it from a 3D printing service on Etsy for $20 (using ABS; Nylon would be $30) including shipping. Absolutely a good deal. Can't find a better and more economic solution than this

Dear all,

I'm new here though I've been following the Taycan Forum for quite a while silently while waiting for the car. I finally received it by June and enjoyed it a lot so far.

First thing I'd like to thank @jeanmariecannie for his great design and work. I used it and I'm more than happy with it!

I assembled the phone holder with the iSetchi MagSafe charger and am using it with a Pixel 7 Pro using a magnetic case from Fanbiya(Amazon). It worked very well.
My 4 CT has the beige interior and I painted the holder. The colour doesn't match perfectly, but imho it looks much better than just black. I also attached some felt on the inside to avoid any marks on the interior.

But now my Taycan and I will part ways by end of December (job change) and I will not have use for it any longer. So if somebody is interested, just drop me a PM. I'm based in Germany.
