UNBELIEVABLE! I just received the price at the Porsche dealership in Irvine, CA for my '22 Taycan 4S for the 2 yr/20K mile service - a WHOPPING $2,639.13!!!!! I asked for a printout of the "service" they do for that incredulous/ridiculous price - most of it is "INSPECTING"!! What a joke!! I've read previous posts about this, and people were in shock from their quotes, ranging from $500-$1400!!

Has anyone residing in Orange County had better luck elsewhere? For the quote they gave me, i could drive to San Fran (or anywhere else for that matter) and have a vacation while my car is being serviced! LOL

PLEASE HELP!!

This is insane. Please find another dealer to complete this service.

The checklist is in the manual and includes multi-point inspection that is minimal (at least get an estimate on the hours and labor per hour), brake fluid flush is free with brake hoses recall as they have to do this, then cabin air filter is easy to do yourself and everyone should be doing it themselves (mine gets dirty every 5k miles) including wiper blades and remote control battery that are not special in any way.

DIY! Cabin air filter is easy and you can by a VW version for 1/2 the cost of a Porsche one. Brake flush can be done by any one that knows how to work on a Porsche.

That alignment is elective, likely $1k

Do you have the part number for the VW version?

Alignment is not needed - they’re trying to steal your money. Wiper blades - you can change them yourself. Just buy a set from eBay, it’ll be way cheaper. Don’t allow them to change the cabin filter - buy original from eBay . As an alternative, you can buy original non-Porsche labeled MANN-FILTER FP 32 007. Changing is super easy [1]. You can also reset service interval for the filter in the pcm yourself! Also don’t let them change the key battery - those bastards will charge you a ton for a simple cr2032 battery. You can do that yourself.

And also try to find another dealer. If you search on this forum, you’ll find people were paying about 400-600 $ in USA for this service

The wheel alignment is not part of the service and on its own if required can be £1500 as it takes 7.25 hours of labour.

They should loose their dealership status (IMHO). Performing the brake recall requires a brake flush, are they charging you AND Porsche for doing the same job? Or how would they otherwise come up with such a quote? The greed displayed by (many) US car dealers is just ridiculous.

@W1NGE, Guessing somebody fooled you into something you don't need. Imagine the long line of cars in the Porsche factory waiting for their wheel alignment?

I did the 2 year service myself and paid the dealer for an "inspection" which allowed them to reset the service indicator. Wheel alignment I do at a trusted independent shop for $179. It is basically a toe adjustment.
Brake flush is $39 for a can of Porsche DOT 4 fluid. I use a MityVac pressure bleeder.
I buy the cabin air filters from Pelican Parts for less than $20 each. Wipers I got the genuine Porsche ones from Pelican Parts and will try their life time warranty on these.

I thought the $1,000 they charged me was ridiculous but I didn't argue or shop around as I had a $600 service voucher I had to use this year, so $400 net was not a big deal. You definitely should not be paying anymore then I did.
