Question on this new batch of battery issues: If your car is 'fixed' under ARA4 (ie they replace modules) is the car still subject to the ARB6/7 recalls? Or is it considered 'cured' at that point?
There have been so many different processes opened related to the batteries it's impossible to follow.

So am i reading this right:
the prior 3 recalls ARA4 etc, they already identified 1 or more modules needing replacement. They supplemented with the ARB6/7 for non-identified issues to inspect and see if they exhibit issue. But, sounds like my car will need the software installed also.

What a shit show.

I don’t get why the arb7 can be charged inside… are they going to call me if the observe an event happening in my garage?
Perhaps the idea is that since we’re already sharing some data, Porsche is able to discern that whatever unknown problems we might have with our batteries, those problems aren’t THAT bad as to result in a fire?

The owner notification letters to ARB6 and ARB7 owners in US do not have any restriction about where to charge or park vehicle. That restriction is in letter to ARB6 owners in UK.

Correct.....

The Great Fire of London was in fact started by a very, very early Taycan prototype left outside a Bakers Shop on pudding Lane in 1666.

The Porsche technician had just nipped in for a toasted Emmental Foccacia when his car suddenly exploded outside ....setting EV production back a few hundred years.

?

Audi e-tron has a similar/identical? HV battery recall to Taycan ARB6 and ARB7. A recent, updated Audi report to NHTSA (Jan 6, 2025) indicates that planned Audi owner notification letter for the diagnostic software remedy will not be issued until March 31, 2025.

Likely that Taycan ARB6/ARB7 software remedy will be on same schedule.

I am still not clear how they will contact the customer, and am skeptical it will be done in a timely manner. There is a real struggle to get clear info. In some respects I want to wash my hands of it but it isn’t clear J1.2 is actually fixing it.

In the US, for recalls, owners are sent a notification letter from PCNA in the mail.

Sorry :) my words fail me. I got that letter, it is the bit in the letter that says something to the effect “don’t worry we will notify you when your car is about to catch fire” which I am skeptical about.

If you don't receive that notification it can be attributed to you failing to maintain a good data connection between your Taycan and Porsche. No problem. :facepalm:
