I can’t install the update. When I press the button to start the update, the screen goes to “prepare to update, this could take up to three minutes” but hangs there, after an hour or so, I get another notification there is an update available, and it starts over. Seems like it is doing something as I lost 1% battery

anyone with some tips and tricks?
You're supposed to turn off (ignition) and lock the car once you confirm the update.

Or better, just activate auto updates, and it will do it whenever if feels like it after you turn the car off.

I suspect mine installed it this weekend via autoupdates, as i couldn't get a connection to the car via the app despite being 5-10m away from the car in open space, for a good 30mins.

Got it 2 days ago. No issues. You guys sure it is not the one which was supposed to be released in Q1 25? It looks a lot like it to me…
Positive. Release is battery monitoring software which this one doesn't mention or the matching campaign number.

I have auto update enabled but had to acknowledge the update manually.

Perhaps if left for a few days it may just proceed.

Gotta say what terrible communication from Porsche. Nearly every Taycan owner has an active recall on the battery and they can’t even communicate if this is or isn’t the battery monitoring software. Bad enough we don’t know what’s going on with our batteries and they can’t even tell us some details about future fixes and timeline.

It's pretty clear that it isn't given the description and campaign reference.

The battery monitoring software as per the letter received is WRS0.

I have too but expect the fact that the car is disabled for 35 minutes during the update probably means the warning window and permission to do now needs to be requested.

I haven't had the notice either.

I have auto update enabled but it still required me to accept etc before starting update so think you are correct.

I've just had a call from the dealer, the recall has been done and batteries reported all "green with no issues". I asked if it still needs further monitoring via the software etc and have been told "no, that's it now unless there's a further recall in future. you can rest assured yours carried no known risk"

Be sure to lock the car as the update installation won't start as I discovered.

I had an update yesterday. Can't recall what code it had, but it said it was a communication update. Now my Spotify doesn't work. Typical. Will see if it is back tomorrow.

Can I ask which recall and how long it was in for? I'm two weeks into the ARB5 and still not a word from them...
