If these Lithium ion batteries in the Taycan don’t last at least 10 years then the weight trade off was not worth it IMO when you factor in the 8X to 10X increase in parts/labor cost.
Porsche meet whatever their design objective is (won't have been the same as Boeing's), customer picks up the replacement cost, Porsche make a few $s more on the more expensive battery
Weight/energy density will have been the priority for Porsche. I have one on my Caterham 7. Weighs a third of a lead acid battery saving 3% of that car's total weight.
