Not much... Just a little improvement everywhere; PCM software, range, acceleration... I really love my J1.1.

I would actually be more interested by a smaller EV car. I don't need the rear seats so often. A 911-size EV, with a hatch, would probably be great: no petrol engine would give a real trunk with hatch and more rear seat space.

It won’t, but it will definitely be the closest thing we get to a Taycan coupe. And if the sheer amount of awards and records that car has garnered so far is any indication, imagine what a smaller/lighter car will be like.

Having said that, I would add to have the ability to use the external antenna for my phone to get better reception.

Solid state battery with energy density for range and minimal battery degradation.

Ability to upgrade the hardware and software of the PCM to get new features without the need to buy a new car and to get better performance of the UI

A degree of autonomous driving in cases when you are stuck in traffic on long trips and you have a boring time.

Improved head-up display with augmented reality, similar to the new Macan EV.

Full capabilities of the HD Matrix lights, especially in the US.

That would be my additional wishes.

Better “autopilot”

A targa version

Storage option as standard (ie useful cabin storage space)
Multifunction diamond button (ie. One button to disable all EU mandated safety crap)
Redesign of A/C section; but do not make it glare
More range on top of J1.2 is not really needed, save weight instead
A way to disable front engine in 4S (I would buy 4S over 4 or RWD just for this function)
A bit lower price (do not increase the battery)
Keep focus on driving and not on screens
Apps, like Macan has (Deezer trumps Spotify and Apple Music)

Can’t you already do software updates on PCM?

Yes, absolutely.

However, often newer software features are only available for the newer generations or even model year.

An example is (and I could be wrong), that with the MY2024 the passenger display received the ability to watch youtube or stream videos, which is not possible for the MY2020. One can argue if it is needed.

Maybe another one is the ability to use Apple Carplay Ultra, this will most likely be available for MY2026 or later. We still need to wait and see.

Hence, the current software update feature you get today will be limited. I know, smart devices have the same problem at some point in time, however, the investment is a bit different and they still receive more features over time than the PCM or any traditional car maker.
