Journey hit ten thousand miles yesterday so I figured it’s time to do a trip report!
First, the obligatory photo:
Favorite memories / feelings:
- In the first week of owning the car I would get up at 4am every morning and drive up the California coast line to see the sunrise. The combination visual and physical experience of driving in these quiet moments was so serene.
- Driving the twisties on Mountain Drive. It feels like the car is in its prime when hitting the curves.
- Seeing other Taycans on the road and “waving” at each other with our high beams.
- The conversations with people at EA stations.
- Rolling up to first at a light, punching in to Sports Plus mode, and launching like a rocket booster.
- Blasting some Chase & Status or Skrillex on the sound system and seeing the rear view mirror vibrate when the bass hits ?
Favorite road trips:
- On the way to Sacramento I took a detour through the redwoods and hit some of the craziest rain I’ve ever driven through.
- Heading up the Santa Ynez mountain roads to the peak.
- Driving pretty much any of the California highways.
The car brings a bit of joy to every day that I get to drive it. Looking forward to the next ten thousand ?
