Active Ride: Entry height higher than Lift mode

Wy is entry height w/ Active Ride higher than Lift Level w/ Smart Lift? Makes no sense to me. Any ideas / explanations?

Comfort entry implies that the car is stationary, while smart lift authorizes a slow speed (<20mph I believe). That would be a plausible reason for a higher body setting.

The Active Ride and the air suspension are two different systems, from what i understand the active ride is just a better faster dumper and the air suspension is co existing with it just like on the standard cars.

Ingress / egress requires a higher chassis setting to make it more SUV height like for this purpose.

Smartlift height is for a different purpose reliant only on the standard air suspension setup.

PAR is a different beast entirely with the entry / exit function a party trick.

Where do you access comfort entry from?

Can you set this as a default when you stop and before you enter?

It is a setting in the car/comfort menu.
You cannot acrivate it from outside before entering the car.

Where do you access comfort entry from?

For clarity:
This thread conflates three different and unconnected things:
- Active Ride, a new (and expensive) option that among other things raises the vehicle on entry;
- Comfort Entry, which just moves the seat and wheel; and
- Smart Lift, which raises the vehicle while driving, eg when you want to transit a bumpy road
