Hi all. Owned My 22 CT4S for five months, driven carefully and tyre pressures as per book, generally driven in normal and sport modes. Just gone to go to work and offside front tyre completely flat. Tried to add air but seems like a split on the inner side (based on hissing and air I can feel escaping), tyres are Goodyears with around 5mm tread. No idea how old but I’ve only put on 4k miles since purchase from a Porsche OPC.
- I’m about to call Porsche recovery who I guess will likely take to a OPC some 15 miles away.
- I assume I’ll need both fronts replaced (and rears checked). Am I likely to get fleeced by having the tyres replaced there?
- Ihave a Porsche warranty and obvs unhappy that this has occurred after so few miles. Any tips on that conversation?
- I was thinking of going to Michelins at some point. Is it feasible to get the fronts replaced now and rears at a later date?
- is there a more intelligent and cost effective approach to this problem?
thanks for any thoughts or advice Appreciated. Shredding tyres at this rate (for no good reason) is the only worry I have with owning this car and after reading a few recent threads on here, Lo and behold it seems to be happening to me now!
