Looking to move mine on and pretty surprised at the offers I'm getting.

Kitted under 2yo turbo in crayon, 18k Miles and I'm getting valuations around 92-95k... I was expecting more like 105-108

Sales for similar cars seem to be at 115-130. Just bad timing?

Anyone else sold for a sensible amount recently?

I read a report last week that said prices are all falling aligned around the cost of money, as well as supply limitations starting to ease.

However, the report also indicated that dealers (all brands) are also increasing their margins on used cars so the offer to forecourt price gap has widened.

This is all related to the UK market specifically.

I posted elsewhere about my own experience of selling a 4S in almost identical circumstances last week. 18k miles 2 yr old. I think I maximised by asking a well respected Porsche indie that I like to sell for me on a commission basis. Ended up costing me 20k net from purchase price to sale proceeds for 2 years of motoring.

there are more 4S around than turbos and I don’t know your original purchase price but two year old cars with average miles are now depreciating so I suspect the other cars you saw advertised aren’t selling at those prices.
You should be able to achieve a price of about 5k less than the prices things are actually selling it with a little effort. Good luck!

Mine was just under 125 new.

Don't need to fire sale it but 95 seems kind of insane.

Heard a couple of stories from guys getting much more aggressive offers from dealers than a few months back as they see the used high end car bubble bursting.

Easy to see why - 90% of them taken on Finance, bonkers rates, fewer people willing to commit to a large purchase…

But market is still hot for lower end. A colleague used Carwow to sell his 68 plate V90 70kmi - he got over £18k from a dealer which is like £2k off retail so really good.

At the other end of the spectrum big over spec’d cars are coming down - CTs are now all c.£15-20k lower than 3 months ago and might be worse on the sedan

That might be what you will get. I just sold a 10 month old 4S at just under 5k loss. Still good, but I had expected more. A buyer for another company told me that 4S was the best for depreciation and Turbo was worse. I think we see cars for sale advertised at high prices but I don’t think we can get that. A Porsche centre might. But what would you pay for a private purchase? And they want a decent mark up when you sell to a dealer

75% RV at 2 years seems reasonable for a non-collector's car, especially a premium one?
IIRC 3 year PCP at 6000 miles pa for a Turbo indicated a £50k loss after 3 years.

I sold my CT 4 about a month back - luckily I got all the purchase money back after 11 months and 6500 miles - it was a fairly low spec. (£6k extras) - I actually had a bid from WE BUY ANYCAR at 4k over my list price.....but couldn't have got the new car deal if I'd done that.
The OPC buyer told me that turbo & turbo S are hard to shift (too expensive) so offers by OPCs are low for them - CT better than saloons and those few "out there" colours are hit really hard.
He also said there's a lot of 4s early lease vehicles hitting the market now. Too early for ST & GTS but I expect they'll fare well.
Good luck to all those selling

I agree. Doesn’t seem low. Just seems like a return to normal.

Also seems like a fair number of people are backing out of cars upon delivery these days, at least based on Internet postings.

Pre COVID shortage, used Taycans we’re going for well below sticker. I was offered a new leftover 2020 Turbo with a $175k sticker for $145k in Spring of ‘21.

Hi, my first post to this forum. I'll try to give you some additional data points. I am in the UK, got a GTS on order and just sold my turbo. I was planning to hold onto the Turbo until the GTS arrived but felt the wind was blowing in the wrong direction for valuations i.e. war, interest rates, recession etc. It was nicely optioned (rear steering, innodrive etc.) and £129k new in Nov 2020, so exactly 2 years old. I tried private sale at circa £115k and got literally no calls. I spoke to a dealer selling a 2022 for over £130k and he told me he'd bought it for £110k implying he'd give me a lot less for mine but we didn't talk numbers. I got three other offers from dealers; 100, 102 & 108 and so let it go for the 108. Hopefully you can get north of £100. I think selling it privately is very unlikely. It's an expensive, luxury vehicle that people will want some sort of dealer back up and financing for. Even if it is under warranty. One other option is that there are specialists and even Porsche dealers who will broker it for you i.e. sell on commission. Expect to pay the approx. £7k. Hope that helps!
P.S. Mine had very low mileage (6,000) but more than one owner.

^ this is a good point. OPC did offer to sell my 4S on a sale or return basis, £7k commission. The trouble is you need another car to drive while they have it, quite possibly for a few weeks. But could get a better return.
