Also -- I've heard that the Taycan facelift is looking like a MY25....it'll be unveiled sometime this year, perhaps in the summer or fall?

Just a heads-up in case someone wants/needs a car this year but is holding out for a refresh.
Helpful info on the refresh timing. My SA does not know anything interesting like this. I would like to see if you could find out when the configurator will turn to MY24 but for certain prices will go up although it will be identical to the MY23 as it appears.

Hi Everyone!

My SA has a landed and available GTS Sport Turismo…It’s a really nice spec (Premium & Tech Packs, 21” rims, nice interior). He’s selling it at MSRP.

If anyone would like to see a pic of the car and the full spec, please PM!
My SA is expecting 2 x 4S sold examples this month [March] and I am thinking, he must be dreaming given the heater issue. I wonder if you could confirm that the landed item has the heater and actually at the dealer ready for sale.

I have no idea as to when the configurator will switchover…I think MY24 production will commence in June, so perhaps the configurator will switch sometime in April?

He did not mention any heater issues…he just said this vehicle is landed and available for immediate delivery :) It is a really nice spec GTS ST, one of the best I’ve seen!

I noticed over time that when you post about available cars, you don’t typically include the colors (body/interior). Is this because the SA does not share it with you, or do you think it’s not that important to potential buyers? Just curious.

I always have the full spec! I sometimes list the colors, but forget other times

A bit of a non-update update for everyone:

The GTS ST I mentioned last week has sold!

It seems Porsche is pushing back and delaying production for some Taycans…nothing new here, but it seems to be getting slightly worse. Supply chain issues are likely still to blame.

As mentioned before, MY24 will probably not be the facelift. I believe MY24 production will commence in June. I do not know when the configurator will switchover. (Facelift is looking like MY25…probably to be released around the same time as Macan EV.)

I believe there is a Taycan GTS Sedan (and perhaps also a Turbo Sedan) allocation available! Selling at MSRP; PEC LA or ATL eligible.

Porsche finally releasing more higher end trim allocations?

I guess so...There may have been a recent small round of allocations last week?

I think we'll finally see MY24 allocations in the next full round.

In this entire thread, this is the first time I see a Turbo allocation. As a side question, aren't all MY23 Turbo allocations sedan/CT convertible up to a certain point? You mentioned Turbo sedan, so I presume it's an older allocation no longer convertible, or did Porsche separate the two back?

Turbo allocations have definitely been rare, but less people have also asked for them. 4S, GTS, and anything CT/ST are most popular...recently, CT/ST.

As I understand it, 4S, Turbo, & Turbo S can be ordered as Sedan or CT up to a certain point. I think it's a very short window to make the body selection. This allocation must be past that window, so it's now only orderable as a Sedan (as PCNA originally intended it to be).

Are you saying PCNA discourages ordering non-sedan Turbos, or all non-sedan Taycans?

I don't think PCNA encourages/discourages anything. They just seem to distribute less CT allocations overall, for whatever reason (might be because there's less demand for CT when looking at the overall population - not at an enthusiast forum like this).

They likely intended for these Turbo and GTS allocations to be Sedans in order to fit whatever internal decision making they do regarding allocation distribution. I'm sure CT's were distributed as well, though in fewer quantities.

I thought you just said all of those allocations were convertible, at least when issued. Are you saying PCNA gets convertible allocations but only distributes them to the dealers after they are no longer convertible? That would basically means they are effectively fixed, so why would dealers merge the sedan and CT waitlists then? If they are all convertible however, then PCNA does not decide on number of sedans vs. CT's, dealers do.

Here's the process as I've come to understand it:

PCNA distributes Sedan and CT allocations...per whatever internal mix they have. I don't know how it's decided or what the mix is, but there are more Sedans than CT.

For a short window after this distribution (maybe a week?), a dealer can change the body style. I don't know if it can be changed just from Sedan to CT or both ways. This is also possible for certain Panameras (dealers can choose Sedan; Sport Turismo; Executive) and Cayenne (SUV or Coupé). I do know that once it's changed, it can't be changed back.

I believe they've designed it this way to allow dealers to best satisfy customers. If there's a remaining 4S Sedan slot (that's still within the window to be changed), and a client wants a CT, they're able to fulfill that order instead of making them wait. I imagine Porsche intentionally makes the window small so that they can better plan production (i.e. perhaps they don't want people changing body styles right before freeze date).

I hope that makes sense. I don't work for PCNA, nor am I a brand ambassador with access to the Electronic Handling Board (that's what all SA's use to see their allocations), so it's hard to say things with 100% certainty. I've learned a few things along the way, mainly anecdotally, and I try to understand the Porsche system the best I can...as I'm naturally curious and love the brand :) So, what I'm saying could be totally wrong, but I think it's somewhat in the ballpark. (Another stream of thought is that PCNA simply provides a dealer a 'Taycan 4S,' letting the dealer choose the body style within the window...whether they want to build it for inventory or for a client. This can't be done with CT4 or GTS ST, as those really are allocated separately.)
