One of my 2 cupholders lights stopped working.

Not sure all Taycans have the same interior lightning but for some reason one of my 2 cupholders lights stopped working.

car is less than a week old and tonight only 1 of the 2 cupholders was lighting up.

anyone else had the same issue? Is it maybe because I was getting close to 20% battery and it turned it off to same battery or is it faulty and I gotta call my SA and book a service appointment?

charge it and see if it comes back. If not would take it to the dealers

After car is charged light is back up.

Mine goes back and forth. Took it to the dealer and they couldn’t find anything wrong bc of course it worked for them. It‘ll do it randomly, fully charged or not.

A 'feature' of the ambient lighting option - I don't have it and is generally an option or part of a pack.

Look at this.
If i turn off and back on it lits fine same as second one BUT seconds later gets dimmed.
Is it maybe sensing light and self dims?

if I play with the % of light and go all the way to 0 and back up works fine.
I sent pics and videos to my SA, lets see what they say.

Had my CT-T since 16th Nov and the cup holder light closest to dash is noticeably less bright than the other - and seems to be bright on one side darker on the other - uneven.

So not quite the same as yours - but could be related I suppose.

Exactly the same. Brighter towards the center. Prob not noticeable on my video.

FYI: accessories run off the 12V battery - not the HV battery.

I would just take it to the dealer and see.


... but if you are courageous, you may look at this video where they show how to remove the cupholders (around 3min in); you could do that yourself and see if all the cables are connected properly. Of course, I do not recommend this as you may damage things and the dealer will be the best option
