Cost of 12v battery replacement

Want to check with everyone here. Porsche China is quoting 1500 usd for a 12v battery replacement. They are saying Taycan 12v battery is lithium based and different from traditional lead based batteries.

This price sounds high, by at least 3x.

Can anyone cross reference thee price in their neck of the woods?

During Covid lockdowns here, a lot of taycan 12v ran into issues after close to two months of no driving.

I don’t have the spec as the quote was stated in a Porsche chat group.

Would be nice if anyone can let me know wha r prices they were quoted.

My 12v taycan googles did not come back with anything worthwhile and mainly directed towards general Porsche 12v battery prices.

Seem to recall the cost to replace the Li-ion battery in my prior M4 was somewhere near $1000 which def got my attention! Started to look after it at that point! And that was a few years ago so whilst $1500 seems massive it might not be as far off as you’d think unfortunately.

I want to add, if this was easily found on google, I would not have asked on this forum. Seeing the flood of 12v battery issues here, it made sense to just ask here.

My search results has pinged with 800v battery replacement prices, not thr 12v

That’s reasonable for a Porsche lithium battery. They use their own proprietary connector for battery management. 992 owners are paying north of $2k for their 12V lithium battery replacements.

Nonsense this a warranty issue and the for a 12 volt lithium battery is p

Nonsense number 1 this a warranty issue and number 2 a 12 volt 23 AH lithium battery from Dakota costs 229 dollars
