Could someone explain this? IO Go

I've been struggling to get my car to talk with Intelligent Octopus Go and have had a reminder I need to regularly connect if I want to stay on the tariff.

The problem is my car is not listed as compliant, either in the Octopus App or their website. But when I first joined IOGo, it worked fine, with my Hypervolt charger. Octopus took over the charging and it was simple and reliable. But then I had to have the communications module on the car reset, which is when the problems started.

On further investigation, I found Octopus's database on which cars are compliant is full of anomalies.

This is taken from the drop-down list in their website. My car is in Bold, and says it's not available. But other models with the Performance Battery Plus are listed as compliant. Why would this be when the management software is the same? Seems like an error to me.

I've written to Octopus and will post any replies.

That’s what I’m going to try but still strange they don’t have an accurate list.

I just use IOG with my Zappi multi-phase EVSE rather than tying it to a single car. Works well.

I too have a Zappi and set IOG up again last week using the octopus app but chose the car option instead of the charger option. All works fine. I set the zappi to fast and use the % by a certain time function in the devices part of the app.

Let us know how you get on - many, like me, have tried Octopus integration directly with the Taycan and given up because it's so unreliable. Conversely, integration with the Zappi wall-box works well, though you need to use a profile in the car to limit the max charge.

For two years I have had no issue at all with the set up I mentioned. A second plug in hybrid Volvo connects via their app too but for that I set an overnight timer in the app to get the cheap rate from iog.
