It is ridiculously expensive compared to similar third party models but as a percentage of the total price it was pretty negligible so I went for it. Very glad I did: when you get the hang of it it is quick and easy to fit, super strong and well designed. Perfect for electric mountain bike jaunts in Scotland

I have this and a Thule 4 bike towbar rack. It's ridiculously over-engineered and not as simple to fit. We're off to Ireland soon for a bike event and 2 friends are coming too, normally I'd bring their bikes on the Thule but can't now as this only holds 2 so they have to fly with bike boxes while our bikes travel in the lap of luxury in a footprint larger than the 4 bike Thule carrier. I have an order in for the 3rd bike extension since Jan 23 but it still hasn't been homologated.

It is also like a parachute out the back on the motorway, worst efficiency I've ever seen from the car was bike rack on without roofbox got 1.8mi/kwh on a Summer motorway 1,000kms. Adding the roofbox mitigated the effect.

If we want to go somewhere with the kids and their bikes we have to take the ID3 as it has a towhitch. Interesting to note the new Macan EV has gone back to a towbar.

Well picked up today. First impressions very good - feels special. The seats feel far more comfortable than the leather 14 way I have.

Had so many comments and looks today - but forgot how much a dark car hides pesky bugs!

The VLC is great but god I wouldn’t have specd that at that price!!!

I posted somewhere else about the best way to make the rear screens functional in case you're interested. They're atrocious in their standard setup, I've had an apology, and once you use up the data allowance (about 6 hours of streaming) they can't function until the data allowance renews the next month. Our old 2010 Cayenne had rear screens and they were infinitely better.

An Amazon firestick (or 2 as there is no link between the screens), plugs into the HDMI and can charge off the USB-C port, then you can have everything, live TV the lot. You will also need a phone to hotspot off or a small wifi device, mine is from Vodafone, that allows unlimited data across Europe for c.£25 a month. Keeps the kids very happy on long journeys.

Thanks for this info - appreciated.

I've got unlimited data on my mobile, so that will be the best option, thanks a lot.

There’s a Catch-22 there, you can’t connect to the car for CarPlay/Android Auto or Bluetooth if you’re hotspotting. That was when I bought the Vodafone thing
