If it’s available, file a diminished value claim. I was slow speed sideswiped with minimal damage to the left rear quarter and the rim (no OEM replacement parts required except the rim) and GEICO stroked a check for $7500 for my diminished value with the “tainted“ CARFAX above and beyond the $5000 plus collision/replacement vehicle claim.

We have Dent Wizard guys over here who pop the dents out. They do amazing things with their steel rods and Zebra lighting system. Did you consider that then just painting?

This is by no means authoritative, but for my Boxster, my body shop told me that you cannot "dent out" aluminum doors. Whether that's really accurate, or whether the Taycan has different doors, I don't know.

That is the same as every body shop I spoke to including my friend that’s a repairer

Finally got my car back a couple of days ago. Such a long wait and so missed my car. The MG ZV really made me appreciate how good my car is and how much I missed it. Had a slight delay in the end as we had to wait for insurance approval to put ceramic coating back on post ppf but that took a few days but I’d authorised it anyway as self pay if they didn’t the keep the ball moving

The repair it self is amazing. Can’t tell at all that the door has been changed and the paintwork is superb. M & A coachworks are a specialist repairer for a reason but having gone there and seeing how many Porsche, Ferrari, Astons and Lamborghini they had was phenomenal.

My 3 yo was just as excited to see the red fast car return!

Congrats and a great result - such a bonus to find trustworthy repair/custom shops with solid reputations - at that point cost really becomes secondary to quality (well, within reason of course :))!
