It's my first time buying a new car, so I'd appreciate some help on things to look out for on delivery day in late June.

I've been through the great information posted here: https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/taycan-dealer-pickup-checklist.1828/

Before delivery day, sort out:
  • Car finance
  • Car payment
  • Car and gap insurance
  • Home charging setup installed

On delivery day:
  • Car inspection
  • Technical run through of all systems
  • Create Porsche ID
  • Register Porsche Connect account
  • Link car to Porsche ID
  • After sales services, e.g. PVTS+, wheel protection, windshield protection, etc

Car inspection based on forum posts, check:
  • Systems are working as expected
  • Requested options are included, installed and working correctly
  • General imperfections
  • Paintwork
  • Panel gaps, dents, scratches
  • Wheels scrapes and dents
  • Glass scratches, cracks
  • Fog and misting in the front and tail lamps
  • Air conditioning (refrigerant level)
  • Parking and other sensors
  • Cameras
  • Battery range
  • Battery SOC at 80% to 100%
  • Battery charges from both ports
  • 12V battery drain
  • Rear spoiler retraction
  • Sill plates
  • Vibrations and rattles
  • Open, close and lock boot
  • Software version
  • Trim panel closures and end caps
  • Apple CarPlay
  • Charger is in the boot

I'm guessing performing these checks will take a while, so it's good to be thorough.

On delivery day, if everything goes okay with the car inspection, I plan to have the car taken straight to the detailer for PPF and ceramic coating.

PPF tasks:
  • Ask the dealership NOT to wash the car
  • If wing mirrors are removed for PPF, then only the dealership can re-pair the mirrors with the PCM

Let me know if there's anything I have missed.

Plug-in and charge from both ports including high-speed charge.

Test both charging ports at the dealer and if possible at a Charging facility (i.e. instavolt, UK etc.) that you plan to use on the road and your home charger. Test charge and plug if applicable.
