Hi all

I was due to collect my new Taycan GTS on Sunday having waited 12 months. Received email from dealer earlier this afternoon to let me know as part of PDI check they found issues with the heating system. They can’t provide details on when I might be able to collect given the parts needs are on back order. Disappointment is an understatement as good chance it will be next year before I can collect.

Yes, I am sure it is a major disappointment especially after waiting a year but kudos to your dealer for doing the proper checks and discovering the issue before delivery. Hopefully, the wait won't be too long.?

I had exactly this on the day I was supposed to pick up my car (Yesterday). Pick up time was 5pm and they rang me around lunch time to break the bad news. What made it worse is earlier in the week they had informed me there were no active campaigns on the car and all was good to pick up…so of course I paid for the car.

Latest I heard they’ve ordered the part from Germany and expect delivery on Wednesday, they need a day to install it so ETA for getting the car is this Thursday.

Disappointing, but in a way nice to know it wasn’t just my car!

Totally agree. Dealer has been outstanding and great service received and as you say kudos for picking things up. I have a 100% trust in them to get it sorted.

Have you got some wheels till it gets sorted?
If not, has the dealer stepped in?

Just interested, given the huge shortage of loan cars currently.

Same question to @im85288a

Sorry this happened to you as well but pleased that you will be able to hopefully collect next week. I hope mine is a similar timeline but I suspect it will be following week.

Like you, I paid this week, activated the Porsche Tracker, Charging service, insurance etc.

Same question to @im85288a
Luckily I still have my Tesla Model 3 but they did not even often a courtesy car. To make matters even worse they had earlier advised me to take the 5 day “drive away” insurance startling on 1st December and ending on 6th December which now will have expired before actually picking the car up.

I emailed them today asking about compensation and a couple of other queries. The other queries were answered and the question on compensation ignored!

Suffice to say, not impressed at all!

That‘s the most annoying part! They said activate the PTS (about £279), use the 5 day drive away Porsche Insurance and took the full payment for the car…..and then on delivery day discover the PDI issue. They had the car for a full week before scheduled delivery day so I really think there’s no excuses for it.

At least they discovered yours before delivery day but it still sucks taking into account all the above.

I have to say, I know things are difficult for dealers currently, but I would have to pick up on that with the dealership.

Agreed. I did exactly same. My car arrived at the dealers on Friday 25 November. The PDI took place on 2 December. So whilst grateful it’s been picked up before handing over, like you they’ve had car for a week.

One of my friends collected their Taycan yesterday and have taken it back to dealers today for same issue. So it appears more widespread.

Also the car was taxed / registered today ahead of delivery for Sunday. The PDI then happened. I’m hoping I manage to have car this month otherwise another issue if it goes into January but car registered in December
