Just pads, I don’t even dare to think about how much PSCB discs would cost😉

About 40 000 km so there was probably not much wear on the pads. I agreed to change them since I did not want to go against Porsche’s recommendation to replace the PSCB pads after 6 years regardless of wear status.

I have PAW and know Porsche can be tricky if you have not followed service plans and recommendations.
Thanks R - very helpful for me.

After this update , i realized that Electric Sport Sound menu changed.
Previously it was only ON and OFF
Now it displays Normal and Sport

And the car sound changed
The car had 2 different sounds before also, but they were tied to driving modes, not manually selectable.

Sport+ driving mode would play a more aggresive sound, likely what's called Sport now.
And all other drive modes would play a less aggresive one, like what's called normal now.

But that means that there is no off option anymore? Or is it OFF/NORMAL/SPORT?
Can you map normal or sport to one of the diamond keys still?

Would be curious if anyone with the update can clarify, as one of my diamon buttons is the sound ON, as it's very usefull in the horribly small swiss parkings.

Yes there is no OFF button anymore for me :)
Only Normal and Sport

So the update works for some but also brings up new issues at others. I’m really unsure what to do, but for now I tend to stick with the old (3882).
Is it to be expected that soon there will be another update or OTA to fix the issues? What are the usual experiences with this?

I think the update as such fixes the problems but there is a possibility that the update doesn’t apply properly, resulting in some data corruption which causes the issues people have been having.
I’m not sure they can do much to prevent that chance, it’s a result of the crappy underlying software stack in the PCM (blame Audi).

The issue described on the German forum is a known issue. No worries.

The confusion is that the navigation on the dashboard shows a spinner when PCM is rebooting. We are of course hyper sensitive for any issues related to navigation right now. It looks related, but PCM is rebooting so it makes sense that navigation is showing a spinner

Hi All, Thx for al the information in this thread. It was very usefull. Got my Taycan SC GTS january this year, bought in Germany. (so import). Immediately I had the Navi problems. After reading 2 weeks ago about the solution I contacted Porsche Rotterdam. No questions asked.. Last Tuesday I gor the update. (took 3 hours) I did have the same issue as @Leccy61. But it went away after 1 day..
For now every seems to work smooth. Some adjustments in the navi gui. No big things.

Strange thing is: Today I received a letter form Porsche Germany (Maagdenburg) that I can have an update on my navi. Make an appointment at the service station...

Yes, end of last year
So it was still in their system apparently, they send you the letter. Maybe I’ll get one from PC Stuttgart, mine is imported from there this year!

The service center continues to impress. I managed to get hold of them on the phone. I talked to the person I had an email conversation going with that seemed to remember nothing about it. But he quickly said "I can book it in for an update". So, mid June mine is going in.

Fingers crossed that it works as I leave on summer holidays two weeks later where I really want the navigation to work

The treatment in germany seems to differ widely. Some people are getting denied the campaign.
Porsche Taycan EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues 1779542410985-vr

While others are getting letters about it, as if it's a recall:
Porsche Taycan EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues 1779542463933-rh

Truly, consistent premium german car experience :D that comes after 9-10 months of the navigation being broken.

If it were a chinese brand doing this, it will be the end of the chinese auto industry, but since it's Porsache treating EV customers like used condoms, with 0 regards for their experience, then it's ok.

The fact that EU mandates phone makers to gurantee 5 years of software updates, but cars that have software that breaks and risks accidents have no such regulations/mandates is still baffling.
