EU/UK: Ongoing navigation issues

I had a big over the air update yesterday that supposed to be something to do with the battery checking (which is what many of us assume started all this mess) haven’t tried it out anywhere yet as it’s nye but hopefully it’s improved it somehow

I got the same issue, today while driving navigation crashed every 15 minutes. Tried to force restart the whole infotainment (two-fingers), but this doesn't help. It is very annoying.

I’d say turning off the Porsche Planner *mostly* stops crashes and freezes. I’ve certainly had total crashes in th least couple of months (blank screen that takes a few minutes to redisplay without the selected route) with the Porsche Planner off, but it *much* less frequent that with the Porsche Planner on (which only last 10 minutes or so).

Such a huge feature loss for an EV and I am amazed that they have not already fixed this. It quite honestly is not ok and makes me second guess having an EV Porsche if I cant take it for a roadtrip.

Yes. They need to deploy those things fast as possible. Modern software development processes.

In my experience, it didn't. Map would still fully reset every few dozen minutes - but the turn by turn navigation would indeed not freeze anymore with the charging planner off. Hardly a good workaround, definitely not a solution.

I called Porsche this morning and after some investigation on their side they did conclude that I needed a software update at the Porsche dealership (see photo). My local Porsche dealership did say that they have had luck with this update solving for the navigation issues.

Hope this can help others who are in the same situation.

A couple of days ago, I had an OTA update that was supposed to (mainly? only?) improve in-car HV battery monitoring (according to the description).

I have only tried my sat-nav over a couple of <5 mile local trips since then, but the sat-nav has worked flawlessly...

What is weird is that some of my settings like ''auto-zoom the map"' were lost and had to be reset.

So the update must have had some connection to the sat-nav....

Had the same experience. Until after a couple of days then the navigation issues returned. Have now booked an appoinment at my local Porsche center as they believe it can be solved with an onsite software update. Lets see…
