After getting allocation and placing an order, I asked my salesperson for a screen cap of this:
Porsche Taycan Greetings Bay Area ppl! 1598943373070

Then I just asked monthly for an update or I'd ask a few days after a significant V code change should've happened. After V300, your salesperson can tell you the VIN and ship name. (At least mine did). You should for sure get the date for V250. The rest can change a lot, as you can see.

Wow @Miwa mine was V300 just 2 days after yours. I am really hoping they might move me to the earlier ship with you.

My salesperson could tell me the VIN and ship after I asked yesterday. Then I looked and the ship left later that afternoon. Given it's the first of the month, time to ask for monthly status? :p

Ya I just had a friend ask me yesterday about Bay Area fast EA chargers. The closest I saw to San Jose was Gilroy. There are many EA Chargers in the Bay Area but all 150 urban ones.

I'd like to see one of those babies in action sometime
All I can tell is that my experience with the 150 with an Etron was sometimes unlucky, on a 100 degree day at the Belmont location it shut on me twice without any information way..
Opened a ticket and the service operator couldn’t tell either.. on a cooler day it worked fine.

And.. the liquid cooled cable does get warm on 150, I wonder how warm it gets on 350...

The 270kW for the Taycan should be cooler than the Audi as that's 150kW at ~400V (~375A) vs 270kW at ~800V (~338A) and the heat comes from the amps. That's the magic of the 800V charging of these newer cars.

This is as opposed to Tesla doing 250kW at ~400V (625A) and this is very hard to keep cool. In the charger cables and in the car. That's why I have been amazed that Tesla plugs are rated to 800A i.e. 20% over. I could never find any UL or ISO specifications for their plugs though. I am not sure who certifies them.
