OP, are you buying a car for yourself or this forum?

Spec the car how you want. Who cares what others think of it? Really wanna know if a feature is worth it? Go to dealership and see it in person. They might not have a Taycan with HUD for you to try but they will have a panamera or cayenne I bet.

After having the heads up display in my X5, it’s a must. I hate looking down at the screen which is usually cluttered with info. Just hoping Porsches hud is like BMWs. I like being told I’m going over the speed limit ? and what the speed limit is.

Voted yes only if many other options are selected first and money is no option to you. The Taycan I test drove had HUD and it was ok, I’ll not be speccing it on my build as it’s way down my priority list….but if I was going all in I may as well add it in! For me its third or fourth in the assistance section I would select after park assist surround, adaptive cruise control and comfort access.

Without the hood looks unfinished. I feel like dust and stuff would go in that opening. Maybe it can be used as a fry holder (joking, not joking)

LOL......but you must admit, better look than the screen on S Class. Take a look. ?

Thank you everyone for your comments and vote. I decided to NOT spec it. I actually like the "futuristic" look the wheel brings to the cockpit and perhaps more importantly, I just don't think I'd use the HUD. While it looks good for my style of driving, I can probably live without it. And given the beautiful 3 "tubes" on the front display screen, my eyes will most likely divert in that direction anyway. Thanks again Team. Very much appreciated. And to those wondering, don't worry, no more polls (from me anyway).
