Well, I am now a new team member. No heat as of yesterday. I had a very short failure a month ago as it returned to be functional on the next trip…..

but now, nothing goes, it blows cold air and it is now -10’ here.

Mine stopped working last week. I had it picked up this Monday because Porsche assistance will provide a car for 5 days.I didn’t need it during weekend. If needed the dealership would provide something else afterwards.

They ordered the parts when they read my mail Monday morning and advised me to call Porsche Assirance to pick up the car. Great they didn’t wait to order the parts until my car arrived.

picked it up today with a fixed heater.

the mechanic mentioned they had many coming in with the same problem an ran out of spare parts for the heater in Belgium. They have to wait now until Germany will send new ones.

I would call them in person first thing Monday morning to try to order a spare heater and don’t wait until they get the car. They may also run out of heaters in the UK.

I was due to collect my new GTS on 4 December and received call on 2 December to let me know as part of PDI they discovered my heating wasn’t working. Not best pleased as you can imagine having waited 12 months+.

Not certain when I will be able to collect the car but hoping it’s before Christmas

Might not be a bad thing as wait until first week of Jan and it will be a 2023 car will make a few grand diffrence when you come to sell. Also looks like your dealer is on the ball as a lot are not ?

Difference between December 22 and Jan 23 reg with identical mileage seems to be about £500 after 12 months. I spent a bit of time analysing figures on Parkers and other valuation tools to decide if it was worth delaying mine to January but decided to pick up this Tuesday and enjoy it over the Christmas break plus avoid another moth depreciation on my X5

What happens when you‘ve activated all your packages ….tracker etc and the hit a problem in pdi, do you lose the time off all of these items or can they be reset to point of pickup ? If there a delay in the parts needed this could be potentially weeks. ?

you’ll only get what someone’s prepared to pay for it In my experience…none of the official figures ever seem to matter ?

Unfortunately you lose the time however it would be good if Porsche offered something back in way of compensation but I doubt it

Yep, mine was based on a 4S CT. It seemed to me mileage had a bigger impact on value and figures might be distorted by the fact there is or at least was strong demand.

I’ll be making the dealer compensate ?

Hi. My car was registered by dealer on 2 December before the PDI!

Also, I’ve made it clear that tracker, and all other services need to be a full 12 months from when I collect.

I also have other losses which are being covered. The dealer has been great.
