Well, looks like I'm in the same boat

Car went in for the software update a few weeks ago. Got it back and the comfort entry was missing. They collected it on Monday this week and got it back yesterday. It was -10 here this morning ...... no heating..... and no comfort entry still. Also, there was an advisory cabin filter change present when the car went in. It is still active. This is my 2nd Taycan and only the first real issue I have had in a few years ........ But ......

It's official:

The Taycan heating unit is a consumable.

You get on average five trips out of it.
So true, I am waiting for my second heater replacement. Lovely car to drive but invest in thermal underwear.
I wish they were as reliable as my Tesla.

LOL, I will carry a 230v radiator when using the Taycan in winter, and 2 hours after the portable radiator will most likely trigger the "Electrical system error" . They will tow the car to the dealership and after a quick diagnosis, a new HV battery floor needs to be replaced!

the best thing to do is simple get rid of this car!

Morning Folks,
My Taycan was collected on Friday morning by AA & taken to Porsche Hatfield.
Have had no further communication about the heater issue. What is more disturbing is that whilst it has not moved from the dealership, is the drop in the range. Taycan was on 09/12 84%, 215 miles. 13/12 84% 165miles up to 168 14/12, 15/12 84% 149 miles. Been tracking through My Porsche App! It will be interesting to see what happens next.

yep agree Porsche are seriously letting the owners down and will pay a hefty price for doing so

just got an allocation for a 4s and I live in the north east, a bit worried now for myself. Wondering if I will be better off with a Model S

Well no doubt the Taycan when it works is a better built car and I hope it works well for you If it don’t you can sell as they seem to hold price fairly well as the man on the street probably doesn’t realise they can spen more time in the workshop

yeah very true. Just sucks that im spending so much money on a Porsche and there's so many QC issues. My current model Y isn't built that great but at the same time hasn't given me any issues for over a year now and has been quite reliable. Weird that ill be paying double the price for a car that can't even heat the car reliably

Agree I would definitely buy another Tesla as the Electronics are years ahead of Porsche without doubt

Hi all

I was due to collect mine on 4.12.22 (brand new Taycan GTS) and dealer emailed on 1.12.22 to tell me heater had failed as part of PDI

This is after paying for the car, tracker subscription and car insurance!

They also registered the car before collection and now I have no idea when I will be able to collect. As you can imagine, not happy and speaking to dealer about financial losses, and having a 2022 registered car that I may collect in 2023.
