I did a quick search and couldn't find much.....so I'm posting!

The CR2032 battery in these fob remotes, I've changed mine about 3-4x now, it seems like they last about 2-3 months and then die (granted the batteries were eBay bulk pack). I do leave my remote in the car so perhaps that's part of it....but OMG, I'm almost ready to buy rechargeable disc batteries for these remotes, the lifespan is appalling! Most my cars the remote battery is good for 4-6 years
Mine lasted about 2.5 years for my main key, and 3.5 years for the spare that I never used. My primary key I keep about 20 feet away from the car. I hear that if you keep it much closer when not being used that it drains the battery. In other words, even if it's not in the car but a few feet away, you'll have the same issue. In both cases, I had the dealership replace the battery with no issues (no charge). But of course it's not that hard or expensive to change it yourself either.

I use the car 4-5 times a day. 18 months doesn't sound that bad compared to some 2-3 months I've read about

I usually just replace my key fob battery every couple of years, but it really depends on how much you use it. If the range starts getting weaker or the fob is acting up, that’s usually a sign it’s time to change the battery. It’s super easy to do it yourself too—just make sure you get the right battery type for your model. You can usually find it online at carandtruckremotes.com , and they’ve got pretty good prices. If you're not feeling up to doing it yourself, a lot of places will do it for you for just a few bucks.

The car will inform you if the battery needs replacing too along with the PVTS+ Tracker Fobs if you use that service.
