Left Rear light only on and 0.5 battery voltage drop over 4 hours. Guess why rear light was on?

Drove my car this morning. Charged it back to 85% SoC from 65% at 1200.
Garage was open so did not notice the light was on as I walked around the front of the vehicle. 34C OAT.
After charging unplugged shut the garage door went in house.
At 1600 (4 hrs later) came out into the garage to see this reflection. See image.
Thought it might be sunlight or reflection through a window. It was not.
Opened garage door took a few more photos.
My battery is consistently 13.4 V. It had dropped to 12.9 in four hours.
I will let you take a few guesses why only the left rear section of the light was on before I provide the culprit.

Winner! I guess I’m not the only one that has accidentally done this.
White warning says parking light turned on one side.
I found the draw on the battery of 0.5 interesting. Charge back up to 13.4 when I got in it and started it.

Fog light or the ability to stay on if the blinker stock is accidentally left on?

I don’t know WHY US cars have this feature.

The only time I ever see such an equipped car with one lit is on a bright sunny day.

I believe it's an European feature for cars parked on dark and tight roads... so people can see the parked cars... low voltage draw... I guess Porsche just left on it all cars... had this feature all on European cars for the last 15 years that I had one..

The feature's been turned off in all my recent US-spec BMWs, but my '79 924 had it, and I think my '06 M3 might have as well.
