A very detailed article on the logistics of charging the 2022 Taycan 4S, and to a lesser extent any Porsche BEV.

Authored by two of their employees, it discusses in detail their knowledge, experiences and advice regarding battery charging for the 2022 Porsche Taycan 4S with an optional Performance Battery Plus in the US.

Thx for posting but there are some inaccuracies in the report which caused me to stop reading.

The 400v DC to DC 800v converter is actually worthwhile given access to the legacy Tesla Supercharger network (400v) is opening up in US, Europe and elsewhere. This has been known since last year and is actively in progress.

Thx for posting but there are some inaccuracies in the report which caused me to stop reading.
You didn't mention specifically anything else inaccurate but the single out-of-date statement regarding Telsa compatibility which has now been researched and corrected (Thank you!), you may continue reading. :)

Good article. Thanks for sharing. The article mentions the 19.2 kW maximum rate the Taycan on-board charging system can accept from a 240v supply, which is true if the car is equipped with the 19.2 kW on-board charger option. Otherwise the max is 11.2 kW with standard equipment.

Sorry but do your own research more thoroughly.

I skimmed and noticed the reference to PMCC + WiFi and My Porsche App is fundamentally incorrect. It does not work this way nor is there a relationship.

PMC+ offers wired connection.

Both PMC+ and PMCC have a separate web interface not accessible via the app.

There is no option to not specify the EVSE - PMC+ being the 'free' default.

No point in reading further (sorry).

That's one of the other errors in the article.
