Just noticed that my windscreen washer stalk has a plastic button

outline on the end of it, as if there was an optional extra on the car that I didn’t spec.

Does anyone know what that optional extra is that goes there?

The button for the rear windscreen wiper, which doesn't exist on the Taycan.
So they just used a stalk from another Porsche, rather than making a new one? ?.

Poor form, but at least I’m not missing anything.

Optimistic thinking: maybe this orphan stalk button can be used in the future for an OTA-able new software-driven function?

Seems to be standard for Porsche. My 2008 911 C4S has the same type of notch in the lever and would be for the rear window wiper if I had spec’d one.

Unfortunately it doesn’t push in. Just a placeholder for where a button would have been. I knew it was a rear windscreen wiper on other porsches....I just thought they wouldn’t have had it here, unless you could spec something for it.

Good catch. Optimism sometimes is blind...

You have to push that button to make the Connect App work.

Its for the optional passenger ejector seat. When your passenger complains you are driving too fast you have an immediate response. Did you not specify this option in your build?
