It’s not here nor there. It’s a ridiculous figure for the car with no basis in anything.

…and what do you think after the section I quoted from the same article?

And some more light reading for you:

I"m trying to figure out if you're being a dick or not. I'm hoping not, because I'm asking sincere questions. If you are, you really don't need to respond.

How could you possibly be asking a sincere question about the range, link to an article that exactly answers your question, have the section pointed out to you…and then again proceed to ask the same question…sincerely…?

Next question....maybe I'm not understanding but I have a feeling I think I know what is going on...

So, we got the 93.4KW battery. We charge the car to 85%. When we do, it shows a range of around 300km, which doesn't really jive with what I expected from reading online. I had read some people saying 318 miles at 85%, so you can imagine my surprise.

I had read online that I should expect around 400km at 85%. Is it possible accounting for the fact that it's being driven hard or is there something in the settings?
My understanding that the range reporting is dynamic, so the more you drive, typically it shows a higher value overtime from new until it settles. I have driven in the city for the first 2,000 miles and charging at home at 11kW about once a week, and I am showing about 230 miles when charged at 85% on the larger battery that we call PB+ on the forum. I hope this helps, which means about 270 miles expected at full, which aligns with what Porsche posts on the website as realistic expected range by the 3rd party AMCI.

So, you were being a dick. Enough said. Life must be pretty empty dude. Move on.

The same thread you showed me a link to has a guy whose car does 511km. Mine is nowhere near that amount at 100%. I’d be about 350km, so what’s the confusion?

That explanation helps immensely and is sort of what I thought might be happening. I appreciate it.

Your car is a dud and you should sell it.
Everyone here gets 400+ miles.

Yeah…and this is from my post on the next page.

You can cherry pick the best numbers you can find and think that’s normal/typical or you can do a bit of reading and understand what’s actually normal and typical.
Dude…I have no idea if you’re drunk, high or both but hence my confusion. You just showed your 100% in miles is at or more than my 100% in KM. Doesn’t that sound like something is wrong with my range???
I don’t get why you’re being an a-hole.

That range was in the middle of summer in range mode with AC off.

Is yours? No? Then why are you comparing them?

And that’s not even considering things like if our tires and driving styles are different.

My car, today, in colder months (but not depths of winter, or even as cold as Toronto is right now) and no “cheats” (range mode; AC off) shows 161 miles at 65% which would suggest 247 at 100%.

You seem to have been on this forum for a while. I figured you would have understood the concept of a discussion forum. Often times, it is where experienced owners can share tips and tricks about their cars with new owners.

if they think the questions are stupid or irrelevant, they have the option of ignoring them. As far as I know, responding in a thread is a purely voluntary exercise. So, do yourself a favour, block this thread and let other Taycan owners, who don’t mind sharing their experience with new owners chime in. I’m sure there will be many who won’t mind using a discussion forum to discuss things.
