New iOS app update

Lovely, simply doesn't work!

Porsche app: v14.25.2 build 380
iOS: 18.2.1 rebooted the iPhone once the app and iOS were updated.

got an error (persistent) msg:

"Climate control
Climate: the function is currently available. Currently no data connection to the vehicle can be established."

That happened before also, nothing new.

if the car is in a spot with no signal, or weak signal, you get that

I start thinking Porsche developers didn’t test the app on different phones..different people have different or no problems.. I can’t guess a cause otherwise!

that was my thought too, after several attempts with good connections (full signal from the build-in SIM) and wifi/ 5G, still didn't get it to work, so i rest my case.

Thanks for posting! I accidentally dismissed the notification this morning when setting the climate timer. Adding that to the control center is incredibly convenient!

That is because they - apple - decided to be petty and have 2 branches , one for EU, to meet eu regulations, and one for the rest of the world.

They could have treated all customers well and just meet the eu regulations worldwide, as it would benefit all customers. But money talks

meanwhile the all new Apple car play promised to release first by end of 2023 and then by end of 2024 is still nowhere to be seen

Haha this is such a boomer thing to do. Why burn the app down if two minor features are not working. It is just an image, and it is just a nee widget. Just wait another week and it will be fixed.

Couldn’t agree more. The in-car software is really not that high quality, but I think the App is actually solid and well done in many aspects…

the fact is, when developers start noticing complains publicly, they'll start to think about it twice... PCM and app may not be coming from the same team, but still several negative comments will be noticed.. end of the story, everyone can complain wherever he likes!
also, a boomer is someone who damage the image of something that works...not something that doesn't!

The thing is, though — as the app seems to work just fine for some of us, regardless of platform — it might be just a database/server issue (which happens to host your data). I would give it some time.

I’ve used the widget a few times but I find it only works about once a day. After I’ve used it once, it seems to show in the widget that pre climate is on and I can’t turn it on again from the widget. The app seems to work fine though. Is this a problem for anyone else?

For example, I just used it at 8:30 this morning, went for a drive, stopped at 9, and when I tried to use it again at 9:45, my pre climate widget still shows it as “on” and I can’t click it.

Same here, for me the widget corrects itself once I log back in to the app, which of course defeats the purpose of the widget.

Same for me. The climate widget adds nothing but frustration. I’ve removed it from the iPhone control centre and just use the app again.
