Hadn't used Sport mode for a while and today I decided I would. Travelled 10 miles, parked up, returned to the car and powered on only to be greeted by a new warning message and symbol on the dash. Unfortunately I didn't have my phone to take a snap but basically all e-sounds (in particular the pedestrian warning) were in operative. Drove on some more, parked up, locked, walked away (usual routine), returned and error had cleared.

Same thing just happened to me. The ESS did work as expected despite the error. After power cycle it went away.
