So, 48 hours in to my purchase and I guess I am being initiated :D

2022 Taycan 4s, new to me (2nd owner). I am trying to review the Porsche Connect in the app and maybe sign up, but don't even have the option to sign up for it. I am getting the below error. Porsche confirmed the car is now assigned to me (they can see it etc), it is assigned to me in the car, I have LTE connectivity, I can see the car in the app. The Porsche care person when I called said that it is a server issue and should resolve in a few days but after perusing this forum, that sounds like it might be BS?

I don't know enough about how the vehicle communicates with Porsche and Porsche back to know if this is a car issue that can be resolved by me, a Porsche issue, or what. I just wanted to play around with the Porsche Connect stuff.

I am also trying to do an OTA actual update for the 12v battery, and the car is telling me to go fuck off for a while. When I come back after following its 'go fuck off a while' steps (pic 2), the update hasn't occurred. I even made sure there were no animals left in the vehicle :(

In engineer mode, software release is:

MPR3_US_P0G46_K3882 Software version 3882, if that is at all helpful.

Error text on Porsche Connect Store:
"Product display is currently limited.
Currently, not all products for your vehicle can be displayed. Please try again later."

I get the same error message for my MY2022 which I bought 3 years ago. The problem with Porsche Connect store site is not just for new owners.

What happens after you press the "OK" button? IIRC there is usually another screen that tells you about the progress of the update. That is when I get out of the car and lock it so the update proceeds.

When I hit ok, nothing happens. So I exit the car, and nothing happens. I did get an error message the first time I re-entered the car after an hour of hopefully-updating, and got a 'failed update' message.

Have you tried a 2 finger reboot and then restarting the update process again? I had to do that a long time ago to get one of the OTA updates to work.

I did an engineer mode PCM reboot before exiting the car for the last time last night (annd then posting this thread) and after getting in the car this morning it looks like the battery management update went through, so that’s good. System says up to date.

Now if I could just get Porsche connect to even let me see it in the store….or if Porsche would let me(?)….

Glad the update worked.

As for Porsche connect, good luck with that. Porsche does not inspire much confidence with their software prowess. Personally, I'd call 800-PORSCHE and see what they have to say about that error (but I wouldn't expect much).

Portion of Porsche Connect Store site is not working. Once IT support guy gets back to work after the weekend he will fix it.

Holy thread revival.

After connect working flawlessly for years, even with matrix coding....not sure if it's related though. 🤷‍♂️
