PCM Stuck on Porsche screen

One last suggestion - when you turn everything off and lock the car, make sure you take the key fobs (all of them) at least 30 feet away so that any chance of them communicating to the car is eliminated. This has helped reset several things - PCM, the charge port stuck in open, PCM refusing to turn off or come on (not at the same time, obviously). Whilst this Turbo S is an absolute joy to drive, the irritants and their fixes are mind-bending. Also, every time, you call Porsche Customer Support, it feels like the teacher is handing out homework - more work for me before they can fix it. It varies from taking photos to send them to mailing them pizzas and caviar depending on the severity of the problem. Porsche needs to be better than this.......

My theory is that Porsche needs to create a better working culture to attract more talented software engineers. The alternatives are way too many and too good, and engineers choose the jobs where it’s best to work at. I don’t have any other explanation. This is absolutely bad software.

Well, I have a MY22 and have never experienced this black screen....until just after the WPN8 update I have seen this black screen with the Porsche logo. Just wondering what had been fixed? Hopefully that was one off though!

I collected my brand new Taycan CT 5 days ago and I got the Porsche Screen of Death yesterday. They haven't fixed it yet!

My car was never included in WPN8. Could it be that there are different campaigns for the same thing, perhaps for different PCM localizations?

No clue. Paper definitely had WPN8 on it

I can tell you mine has de WPN8 last week (the aftersales guy showed me on his screen). I've been trying to chase after any PCM bug since with no luck : everything is flawless since (knock on wood). The loading is fast (faster than before?).

2024 ST just did this today. Manufactured in August. Sitting plugged in and locked. Definitely display software issuecas carplay and other functions works just display sat at Porsche logo (like maybe reboot loop)

Surround view should still work. Your car may need the WPN8 or WPN9 recall done.
