My roof-rail fitted ST is looking forward to a ski trip this winter and I am giving serious consideration to get a roof box / ski rack set up in preparation.

I’ve read through the posts and they all seem to refer to CTs with boxes fitted. So I called into the local Thule-approved store yesterday and asked for a setup for my ST. He was a little lost as their system only talks to CT.

With that in mind:
- can anyone confirm from experience that when the Thule system talks about a CT it is exactly the same as an ST?
- has anyone got a roof box AND ski rack set up in their ST
- a more general one, as I’ll have 4 skis to manage (me and my 3 boys), can you get double stack ski racks for roof bars as I don’t see how there would be room for 4 side by side racks and a roof box.

cheers to the Taycaneisters in advance ?

I can’t say from experience, but I have an ST on order and will be getting the Thule aero bars. As far as I can see they will fit fine, no difference in the roof between CT and ST.

Ive used this company many times for difficult cars over the years, if they do have they have been very useful for potential ideas, saying that, they do show Taycan saloon:

I have the Thule Aero bars on a GTS ST. They fit lower than the Porsche bars, generate less noise and need Thule compatible fittings due a lack of space between bar and roof. The Thule site is great at working out which systems are compatible with which…

Thanks to all the replies. My takeaway is while the Thule site doesn’t specify for an ST, but does for a CT, they are in essence the same.

It's the same car - one with plastic and one without and a little extra ground clearance - the roofs, bars and accessories are all the same.

As someone pointed out, the Porsche transport kit (OEM'd from Thule) is lower profile. Make sure you install the bars the right way round as the roof width is not uniform Sounds obvious but a few folk have managed to damage their bars as a result of the install not being correct.

Not wading into the CT better than ST argument as seems childish and demeaning.

But an ST in mamba green ?
