But it was a Cross Turismo. I think the CT will outsell the Taycan sedan as Americans seem to be nuts for SUVs.

Maybe. Hard to predict. It really depends on whether most Americans will associate the Cross Turismo with an SUV (big success) or with a station wagon (no success).

I see it as more station wagon than SUV or crossover. But the current Taycan’s trunk leaves a lot to be desired. If the Taycan was a hatchback, then I’d say no contest. As is...I’m not sure.

The Cross Turismo is closer to a station wagon (or estate) than an SUV. Station wagons are not popular in the US.

Personally I love the CT. I can’t wait to see it in the showroom.

Panamera Sport Turismo (ST) didn’t do so well stateside so apart from the initial euphoria for the CT I’m guessing interest will wain. ST & CT are similar propositions and potentially there will be a Taycan ST thrown in. Porsche can’t seriously see a sizeable market for 3 wagons which essentially are the same.
