Opened my 2020 4s to a constant beeping sound , the touch screens seem to be constantly randomly pressing buttons on its own. 350 km one week after delivery .
98% charge and 13.5 v showing on the 12v battery . Anyone know of a reboot procedure ? I have an appointment Wednesday

Can you access settings and go to the System and do a Factory Reset?

No . I am unable to get into any menus.
Any chance it could be a case of cleaning the screens with the car switched off? Sometimes oils or greases from fingers can make the haptics screens do this.

I would turn off the car completely by pressing and holding the power button.

Get out of the car, lock it, and let it sit for at least 15 minutes so it can perform a system memory dump.

Hopefully this helps.

If not I'd call 1-800-PORSCHE to get them to take your vehicle to the nearest service center. Probably don't want to drive it if it's pressing a ton of buttons and performing actions based on those presses.

Only other alternative I can think of it to remove power from the 12V battery and totally turn off the system.

Done all the things you mentioned , I’ve found I’m able to get the buttons to stop by hitting the shut down button on the lower screen that pops up a admin menu ... I’ve now got a Porsche ctek charger on it for a bit to see if it’s battery related . Don’t think so as the shit down screen stops all weirdness .

Thanks , I did try cleaning everything .. even lightly tapping everywhere as maybe a haptic press was stuck . Nope

Sounds like something is messed up internally with the haptic sensor on the bottom screen. Probably will need a replacement screen for the bottom.

If you feel comfortable it is probably safe to drive with the lower screen turned off.

Hopefully your service team can get this resolved quickly for you and back into your car!

Update for reference , I was able to get into the display settings after timing the random damn inputs, turning off the proximity sensor in the central display properties seems to have stopped the issue for now . Likely a replacement screen will be the result I’m sure . Not happy about techs digging into my new car

I have occasionally encountered problems with the screens, like flickering sometimes with vertical color stripes, disappearing screens and/or frozen screens etc.

This situations are rarely, and I presume this only are some hiccups due to an early stage of PCM, which during time will be fixed and updated. I’ve had two Tesla’s with far more serious problems which needed repair, so I don’t get alarmed just yet.

I managed to capture some “shaky” videos of three incidents:
First part: The lower and middle screen disappeared when reversing with lost visibility, but recovered shortly after.
Second part: The middle screen froze totally, while passenger screen still was functional.
Third part: Passenger screen froze totally, while middle screen still was functional.

Usually this is (as Luke Manning also suggest) solved by turning the vehicle off, lock it for 10-15 minutes and fire the animal up again.

So in good spirit I give the situation and Porsche some time to see if it loosens up by itself, or by future software upgrades

Was there a resolution to this issue? My 1 week old taycan has gone crazy as well, typing letters, activating voice control and calling randomly.
Cant find any resolution online and my service appmnt is for a month from now.

The issue was resolved in two ways, 1- it went away by itself and 2-taking possession of my 2022 4GTS 911 .
I’m ok with being a first year adopter of vehicles for many issues but the final straw was 4 months of no heat in the cab. 🥶
