Sentry mode like Tesla for Porsche -- aftermarket options?

I heard Tesla has what they call sentry mode where activities around the car are filmed just in case. Is this something Porsche also has?

Check the details of the Porsche Dashcam - I don't think it offers this feature.

It sounds like something somewhat similar is available if you install a BlackVue dash cam but it’s not as sophisticated as Sentry mode because I believe that uses all of the exterior sensors of the car.

I’ve been waiting for this to release for a while now, but it still hasn’t and they haven’t even updated the release date on their website! Are they rugging?

They had some issues with early test builds but they are on track to deliver in the next few weeks to Kickstarter backers as far as I know.

I’ll update this post if the unit isn’t very good when mine arrives.

If they did Sentry mode for our Taycans, they need to fix the camera systems. It'll look like deformed and totally disproportioned people, think flesh colored Gumbydoing things to your car if it relies on our internal camera systems. You may be able to pick up something happened and done by someone, but I can't imagine the law enforcement folks using any video and being able to use it as evidence.

I know there are some other cameras like Blackvu and others that will do this, but has to be wired and draw power when care is off. It'll lead to some vampire drain for sure.

If someone could just attach a clip or car mount to a Blink camera or two, you'd have a simple but effective solution.

No update in the last couple of weeks. If they are no target for their slipped timeline of December it will be December 31st at the earliest
