Some thoughts after a few weeks of ownership:
1. the HUD is indispensable. It really is well done. However the Porsche style of having a yellow underline remain on the 'tube' or display that you interact with is annoying in the hud, so for example if you answer a phone call or browse phonebook in the hud the yellow bar remains until you press that button on the wheel to move it to the next tube. My suggestion to Porsche is to time out your yellow menu and make it go away entirely, not just the two stage full yellow with timeout followed by dashed yellow forever. I understand the dashed yellow provides secondary menu controls but it should still time out and go away.
2. The Chrono clock is not as annoying as I worried. I do think putting an OLED display there and letting us set any kind of control up there such as G force would be the future. But having said that, it's not in my way or noticeable really.
3. It's weird that CarPlay seems to replace PCM integration... for example I cannot manage phone calls in the HUD if I am using CarPlay. Also the CarPlay integration is kind of bad. If I am in a BMW using CarPlay, there is integration everywhere including maps. Why don't they do that?
4. I got the RAS option and think, like the HUD, you should get it. The wheels in the rear do not move very much but it makes a huge difference. I have not had any difficulties parking in tight places with RAS... I know I have seen some threads about that but not sure I understand the concerns after having used it so much now.
5. I wish the damn car would start up in individual mode.
6. I wish there was more room for my left foot to be more ... to the left. Given the seating position Id like more wider foot area. Its not bad though, just not as roomy as my BMW was.
7. The lack of buttons on the AC area is not as bad as I had worried. I don't mind the UI that much other than the lackluster CarPlay integration. I do think there is some wasted space in the lower display for that trackpad that absolutely nobody uses unless they are spelling out letters for the map addresses? Maybe they should rethink this space and provide something like music.
8. So. what did I do with my diamond favorites. I do think they should have added two favorites on the wheel instead of a silly regen button. But having said that the one on the wheel is definitely next track. The one on the dash thought I had planned for homelink but once I programmed homelink I noticed the button appears on the PCM once you drive up to the house. Nice. So that button became sports sound toggle.
9. I defaulted sports sound to on but now just leave it off. It's a lot of fun at first but if you are going for a drive longer than an hour at a sustained speed you kind of want it off.
10. I got the gray leather interior with Neptune blue interior accents. Much better wheel than the felt whateveritscalled alcantera?. The gray and Neptune blue go well together and we like the look of the Neptune blue interior accent touches.
11. A few interior options I got: AC seating and (along with the thermal glass that comes with the GTS) thermal transparent film on the windows. Given I live in a hot region as you can tell by the photo this car amazingly cools in less than 10 minutes and its never unbearable even if its been sitting in the Florida sun all day. I don't know how much of this is the extra film, the GTS thermal glass, or the AC seats but this car is nice in Florida. Note too that I have a glass roof with no roof screen or roof film. Just stock glass roof. Not a single complaint about that even in Florida.
12. A bit about comfort access. I do like that the car unlocks as you walk up to it, now why can it not lock the car as you walk away? I didn't see that option but doesn't it seem obvious? Instead I fumble trying to see the little indent on the handles.
