Standard Interior - who chooses this one?

They all have leather seats. The "full leather" is for the dashboard, and door tops.

German car configurator says:

The big difference is the headrest not mowing on the 8 ways seats. It sound like it is leather.

Wanted to follow up now that I have my car with Standard interior.

I was nervous about the Standard interior, I HATE how it looks in every other Porsche, but it's simply fantastic in the Taycan.

100%, no doubt, would order the Standard interior again and spend the money elsewhere. Quality is fantastic, both aesthetically & to the touch.

This is NOT the crappy bumpy fake stuff in even the 992. This is a near replica leather that's perfectly integrated and feels lovely. Will try to take some better photos than what is out there.

Absolutely not out of place even in a $130k car. Looks & feels great.

I have seen the standard interior, it didn't bug me, but then again, I have never bought a Porsche before. As usual, it depends on what you are used to.

Ditto, as good as my other car interiors. Happy with it, I have slate grey

I have the standard interior as well and think it’s great and think it fits the car. Also, since I’m hauling kids I wanted something I didn’t worry about and could clean easily. I don’t think you can go wrong, but of course the full leather is quite nice. I wanted to like the Race-Tex but after spending time with it in a 911T, I couldn’t see myself living with that full time.

Can someone show what the slate grey standard interior looks like please? I just ordered my car and I changed from slate grey to black, so I was just wondering if I should go back to slate.

I did the two tone leather upgrade on my 4S, which I pick up tomorrow. Mostly because I like the aesthetic of light colored interiors.

To be clear on my post, I do really like the two tone leather interiors and I think they're a great way to customize the car. I just wanted to comment that the Standard interior is very nice, a vast improvement over the very questionable materials Porsche has used in the past, and no one should be worried about the quality if they choose to spec it.
