When I view the “total” trip stats in the Porsche app, the efficiency numbers are absurdly good. I’ve probably had two trips ever that met or exceeded this value of 27.7- there’s no way my global average even starts with a 2, much less is this good.

Does anyone else see something similar? Any ideas why?

yes, mine is also miles out, seems to be the same for everyone based on previous posts.

My lifetime per the app is 28.6kW/mile. Total fiction. Just had a very efficient trip and it was 30.3kW/mile. I've been under 28.6 maybe twice in 14,000 miles. German math used to derive the app figure?

My Turbo CT average shows 2.6miles/KWh, so if my math is correct that is 38.5KWh/100miles, which is not super inconsistent with what I observe. However, when I scroll through the history (only 12 months is available) I only saw 2 entries above 2.6, most are below, so not sure how the app came up with 2.6 average - the only way would be if my car was more efficient over a year ago (so cannot view the numbers, but they are included in the lifetime average). Perhaps your cars had some really efficient drive history at the beginning of their lives?

No ultra efficient mileage before Porsche deleted the stuff over one year old. Downloaded the stats while they were still available so I can look back. My average is 31.2 kW/mile. No crazy math gets me down to what the app shows. It's just one of the Porsche mysteries.

Mine has steadily gone down over time for no obvious reason. I don’t have connect any more, and I’m out of town, so can’t check the current numbers. But they’ve been under 25 for a while. Possibly under 24 now. I’m hoping the car eventually drives using no energy. Fingers crossed!?

My guess is app/car does not use an average number but the efficiency measured at the end of each trip (point in time), and simply applies that end of trip efficiency across the entire trip. This is wrong and it’s not representative across the entire trip.

Only way to derive an accurate number is to divide the lifetime kWh charged by the total miles driven.

Engineers choosing best possible numbers given whatever data they have, perhaps under guidance from marketing? Or it could be a bug, but nobody wants to fix it as it could potentially upset customers who don’t suddenly want to see less range/higher consumption. Tesla learned early on to never change software such that mileage estimates go down as it brings lots of upset customers who think they “lost” some range due to the update.

We have 28k km on the odometer. 90% of that is in dense city rush hour traffic giving 25-28 kWh per 100 km.

my all time efficiency is 20.2 kWh per 100 km .
lol.

full charge always givrd me 225 miles or 360 km, even if all I drive is daily commuting. Or 71 net kWh battery divided by 20 or so

the software gives you the max best scenario under that historical, extrapolated all-time efficiency but in reality I only get about 230 to 250 km per charge in my daily use case. That number is calculated by dividing distance driven since last charge by the battery percent used. I usually charge between 20-85%, dc charging only every 3-4 days.

Standard battery rwd 21’s.
