I never usually use the PCM navigation, prefer Apple Maps, however I used it on a road trip today. I set the route on the phone with an Ionity preference for the charge stop at 20% and end of trip target was set to 50%, Seemed ok and sent to the car without problem.

The Ionity stop was changed to a Gridserve (M1 South J15A Northampton) when I checked on the PCM. Not sure why, but the route was ok so I let it be, thinking I was not stopping for long and would be saving pennies anyway.

When I stopped (at 20%) I got the best charging rate I've ever seen on my car, 265.4kW. However, the interesting thing was the target charge was set to 255%. I assume the charging should have stopped on it's own based on predicted remaining distance, but I had to stop it manually. End of trip I had 68%, so something didn't work in this plan.

Anyone seen anything like this using the PCM navigation?

When you charge with 1- the Porsche Charging Planner active (check box selected) and 2- an active destination in the nav unit, the charging planner controls the amount of charge.
Depending on the situation, the charge can stop early (if that's what the charge planner calculates) or late (255% is likely a software fault error).
Best workaround is when you arrive at a charging site (on the road or at home), either stop active navigation/remove nav destination, or unselect the Porsche Charger Planner in PCM.
Then re-enable when you have finished charging.

Yes this is the behaviour I expected. Planner active would determine the length of charge at the charge stop. 255 does indeed look like a SW error.

I’m now thinking that the cause may have been the car set to Direct Charging… I had it set to that earlier in the week as I was on a super slow charger and didn’t know when I would next get to a charge stop. I forgot to turn this setting off so 255 may indicate an override of the target %.

However, DC charging never stop when using (or not) the PCM: it'll go up to 100% if you don't stop it.
This! And I'm glad they implemented it this way because I want to be in control of how much charge I add to the car when I'm on a trip.
