Taycan Turbo S Aero Design Wheels painted in satin Black same as Taycan Turbo Aero Wheels?

I have the Taycan Turbo Aero Wheels on my 4s ST. On the fence about getting them painted black. But on the configurator for the GTS - think they do look better. Am guessing they are the same wheel painted in satin black with different centre caps.

Different wheel design.

Black wheels look better with cut outs, and it wouldn't suit the Turbo Aero's that look very nice with the silver pinstriping.

No one wants their Porsche Taycan wheels to look like this:

I think those are the 20" Taycan Turbo S Design wheels of the Cross Turismo painted matte for the GTS and not the 20 inch for the sedan Turbo Aero ones .

I think so too and they are some of the few Taycan wheels I like. I don’t like any of the wheels with bright machined surfaces - which is most of them!

Generally i haven’t liked the styling of almost all the 19” and 20” Taycan choices but these standard GTS ones are really nice.
The 21” Spider wheels look ace on the GTS too and awful on all the others with the shiny bits

Good catch on your part. Looks like Porsche started with the same basic design and simply played with where they made them solid vs open. In my view, this wheel needs some color contrast to make them look their best….so I like the 4S spec better.

Same with the "5 spoke" looking Turbo Aero Design wheel- the polished-face outlines help distract from the filled-in sections (which I think would less plasticky if they were in satin rather than gloss black).

I have the 20" off road wheels, which i chose on the basis of not liking the aero options and thinking the 21" wheels look stunning but are the wrong price. Moreover, i would have spec'd them in some variant of grey or black, but it wasn't a factory option either, so had planned to ge them painted. However, they have grown on me as they are. So what i've decided to do is wait until they get scuffed up/need a refurb and then get them painted at that point. That way, it's sort of free and the car gets a bit of a facelift....

That is not enough of a change for me. I'd be planning something more like:

Anyway, apologies for thread hijack. But my advice is wait until they've had a bit of wear and tear before doing anything to them.

These are satin black done by Porsche which come standard with GTS. I haven’t painted them myself.

Did you pull the trigger? Any pics of your current vehicle? I have my vehicle on order and am contemplating the same. However, I think the stock turbo aero S look better over the painted version at least online.
