For correct steering angle at high slip angles when pressing on the two tyres are steered slightly different angles - the Akermann effect or anti-Akermann, depending on tyre and car designer preference. Pure Akermann steering assumes no slip angle and is always wrong for a sporty handling car. ;) but avoids the juddering.

It does mean that at low speed when both tyres have the same load on them and are nowhere near optimum slip angle the tyres are at different angles and under low grip conditions one will skip/shudder particularly at high steering angles such as when manoeuvring.

It is normal and unavoidable in a car optimised for handling.

I recommend going to the dealership for this, because, why not?
Always best to try and not look like a numpty when visiting them. Mitigates getting pants pulled down.

Same with front right tire. Started when temps got around 40f.

I'm glad I read this thread because mine's been far worse since it got cold here in the UK.

Interestingly my tyre pressures were down when setting off today, major skipping at low speed. After 5 mins they raised by about 0.2bar and I didn't experience any skipping when parking at low speed. Seems to be mainly when setting off from cold for me so possibly lower pressures, lower temperatures (surface and tyre). It's very disconcerting though!

It looks like you have 21's. Your front tires are really wide! I have both 21s and 19s and the 19s don't do this.

Mine does it on 21"s. My Mclaren does it too.

Hi All,

i don't know if this is a problem or not but when i turn the wheel sharply either left or right (mostly right) i feel like the tire is slipping. this is noticable in slow drive. sounds like clicking.. any ideas?

Thanks
