Hi All, just wondered if anyone has tried to turn traction control off when driving the Taycan in a 'spirited' way? I clearly wouldn't recommend turning traction off under normal circumstances (public road) but I found the car feels way better. I noticed the car trying to really interfere in the corners making everything feel unsettled. It's hard to describe but I note the feeling totally goes away with traction control turned off - note that I'm not really pushing but clearly the car does carry some good corner speed. Difficult one as I don't want to be irresponsible (and make everyone think I'm a lunatic) on the road but I much prefer the drive without traction.

I still find the car brilliant by the way, I'd be interested to try a 911 back to back to find out where the Taycan weight does impact driving but I cannot understand why anyone would mention weight as an issue for public road driving. I did drive a Boxter S which I really enjoyed but the damping was nowhere near as good! Although the ride height annoys me of the Taycan as I feel like I'm going to leave the batteries behind on the local B roads.

What model are you driving? I've got a 4S+ with 21 inch wheels. Honestly, I cannot tell the difference between on, off or halfway most of the time, even if I boot it on slow speed apexes. When I do feel anything it's more akin to what you would feel in a powerful rear drive car with a bit of a drift from the back. It's a bit more pronounced in the wet. I imagine a turbo on standard wheels, having more grunt and less tyre might be different.

Have you had your Porsche Experience Day? I had mine pre Christmas at Silverstone and you get to try out all sorts of assistance and settings on / off . Its amazing how well the car helps in tricky situations with it turned on. Remember its a heavy car in disguise and will catch you out in slippery conditions.
