Hi everybody, just a quick bit of advice: I picked up my new Porsche Taycan Turbo S at the end of December, and since then I have had a couple of error messages pop up that are a little scary. The one I'm most concerned about is the transmission failure message that appeared in red on the dashboard. Now, I switched the car off, left it for 15 minutes, and came back. It had cleared, but I'm a little concerned I about it in the first place. The other one I've had is a headlight control fault. Just wondering how normal it is for these types of issues? The reason I ask is that I called Porchester, and they told me not to worry about it. If it happens and the car doesn't start, call Porsche systems! Which I thought was pretty poor, to be honest.

What year is your vehicle and is it new, used or CPO?

Time to take it to the dealership, shame that it's only been 1 month since you owned the car. If it was me, I would be quick to return the car for a full refund.

In my experience usually down to the rideheight of the car, due to the air suspension failing - and with the red error meaning the rideheight is too low to move.

Take it back to your dealer and tell them to fix it.

My advice is to take a few extra deep breaths and don’t let the warnings get to you. Most likely there is nothing physically wrong with the car. There is a bias towards being dramatic on forums…especially when it comes to suspect issues. Many of them are phantom and simply go away with no action required. Be sure to mention them though at your next scheduled service so they can at least clear the codes if there are any.

A bunch of terminal red errors on a month old car is not normal... the red ones prevent you driving it and specifically state you need to have it looked at, else you'll breach your warranty.

Not sure in what world a £150k+ car is expected to continually break and be unreliable as soon you've driven it away impacting your ability to use it.

I know from my experience this is likely a suspension issue that needs replacing. It wont just go away, it will get worse.

I’m so used to fake warnings that I really don’t worry unless it happens repeatedly.

Yeah I got one for a chassis and then it never showed up again. I freaked out because everyone here panics but the dealership was like “it happens, just let us know if it comes up again”. 🤷‍♂️

Welcome to Taycan, get used to crazy faults that they can't find a reason for.... 😂
